Sterling Silver St. Bridget’s Cross Pendant

She shares the title of Patron Saint of Ireland with St. Patrick. Our Sterling Silver St. Bridget’s Cross Pendant is the traditional representation of the cross she fashioned from river rushes as she sat beside her dying father. Light antiquing defines the design. Other features of the Sterling silver St. Bridget’s Cross Pendant include:
  • 1” square
  • Back bail so as not to interfere with design
  • 1/8” bail opening
When Bridget’s father saw the cross, he asked her to explain its meaning. When she did so, her father wanted to join the Church, and was baptized by St. Patrick before he died. Called “Mary of Kildare”, Bridget is buried at Downpatrick, Ireland, with St. Patrick and St. Columba.
