Most often found on the Arctic Sea, this extremely sociable marine mammal can weigh up to 3,000 pounds. Tusks are found on both male and female walruses, and grow throughout their lives, extending to about 3 feet. The foreflippers of a walrus have tiny claws on all digits. In the past, the survival of the walrus was severely threatened by overhunting, and today, only Native Americans are currently allowed to hunt them.
